Our Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you visit the Picklemania™ website or interact with us as a customer. We are committed to complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We act as the Data Controller for the personal data we process.

13.5 Sharing your data

We do not sell, rent, trade, license or otherwise commercially distribute your personal data.

Your personal data remains within the Picklemania™ controlled systems at all times and is not transferred to venues, clubs or sponsors.

We do not provide marketing lists or user databases to sponsors, advertisers, venues, clubs or commercial partners.

Where communications are supported or branded by sponsors, those communications are sent directly by Picklemania™ and do not involve the transfer or disclosure of personal data to sponsors.

If you select a venue or club as your “Home Venue”, Picklemania™ may send communications relating to that venue or club. Venue and club operators do not receive access to user personal data and do not send communications directly through the platform.

We may share your data only with service providers acting on our behalf, including:

Payment processors
IT and hosting providers
Email delivery providers
Cloud storage providers
Professional advisers (legal, accounting)
Regulators or law-enforcement where required by law

All such service providers are contractually required to protect personal data and act only on our documented instructions.

13.6 Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention and operational requirements.
If a user requests deletion, we will delete personal data where possible and otherwise anonymise Personally Identifiable Information (PII) where retention is required for legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention or system integrity purposes. See Subject Rights.

Media (e.g. avatars): Old avatars are instantly deleted if new avatars are uploaded. We do not retain deleted avatars.
Chat data is retained according to the data retention policy of our third-party chat provider (TalkJS).
All data is provided explicitly by the user. We do not collect personal data in any hidden manner.

You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled.
